A question that is often asked is "What Tv/Streaming show are you currently watching? And today I'm here to ask this unique question once again but I will answer it from my perspective and include insight as far as what made me select each series and add to it's viewership. Although there has been a contraction on the amount of shows currently in production since the WGA strike that went on for 148 days --the second-longest labor stoppage actioned by the WGA -- there are still more show on all the different streaming services than one person could watch in an entire lifetime. Some are GREAT and some aren't worth the time needed to watch the pilot alone. Lol

Here are the shows I'm currently watching:

Not what I expected at all but indeed an AMAZING show.
Not what I expected at all but indeed an AMAZING show.

Paradise-- Hulu

I got into this show because of the constant post I was seeing on social media about it. In the course of about two weeks I saw about 30 different people make post about how amazing this series was and how it was so shocking with twist and cliffhangers. At first I thought people were just gassing it up how they normally do when a bunch of people are watching the same show at the same time. However-- then I started to see more and more people talking and posting about it. I decided to watch the 1st episode for myself to see if the hype was warranted or just people capping. And I must say-- this show is PHENOMENAL! It is a well written and supremely planned out series with great pacing and the right mix of mystery, flashbacks, character development and a changing perspective on who's a hero and a villian. I highly recommend it.

Prime Target -- Apple TV

I randomly decided to give this show a try because of the trailers and promotion that I saw Apple giving this series around the premiere date January 22nd 2025. Going off the trailer it gave me a "Davinci Code" type of vibe somewhat. And since I liked that movie -- although completely unrelated-- I gave this show a try. I am currently up to episode 7 out of 8. It is a thriller show with genius level main characters who are trying to decipher ancient codes and math and piecing together how it relates to things going on today. Said math code is able to crack any computer code in the world and this places the main characters in scenarios where they can't trust anyone and are constantly being betrayed and are on the run from danger all the time. I watched the pilot and the way it ended left me intrigued needing to know the who, what and why's behind how the episode concluded.

Foundation --- Apple TV

This is an EPIC Sci - Fi Fantasy drama and for those of you who are familiar with my entertainment preferences-- Sci Fi Television and Movies -- THIS SORT OF THING IS MY BAG BABY (in my Austin Powers voice when he was trying to deny that a certain device was not his upon being unfrozen-- if you know you know LOL).

Foundation is like a combination of Star Wars and Dune, which means if you like space based drama that is occurring on multiple planets over generations then you may have a strong interest in this series. I heard about this show because of The John Campea Show on Youtube which a listen to usually every day. It was mentioned by Robert Myers Burnett several times and since Rob is the "Duke of discourse and an Imagination Connoisseur" I knew I need to check this show out.

Each episodes is packed with information and mythology and character motivations and double crossing and secret agendas that you absolutely NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. I had to run several episodes back a few times because I started scrolling online and not focusing on it.

A complex saga of humans scattered on planets throughout the galaxy all living under the rule of the Galactic Empire. Dr Hari Seldon and his loyal followers attempt to preserve their culture as the galaxy collapses around them.

American Primeval -- Netflix

Now this show right here was recommended to me by my Best Friend on planet Earth -- ( that does NOT include my friends on Mars) and it surprised me that he made the recommendation because I'm the one usually telling him which shows he should check out.

Emperor Cole Note: Don't mind the pictures of me and my best friend chilling over the years. I figured they would be good for added affect LOL!

American Primeval is the story of how the American West was established and how it came to be. The Mormon people led by Brigham Young showed up to Utah and decided it was far enough away from the persecution they dealt with back east of the United States, but little did they know there were many tribes of natives already in the area. In the show it follows a woman and her young son who are seeking a guide/travel companion to take them out west. Before too long you find out she is indeed on the run from her past life in Philadelphia--- and they have bounty hunters are their heels. I won't elaborate too much or as not to give anything away but this is a great show--- violent and gritty; yet compelling and intricate --- as we explore the makings of the old west and a fictional piece of American history.

Invincible -- Amazon Prime

With Invincible I am just starting the 3rd season which I had been hearing raving reviews about online from social media post and from the online Youtube film pundit community. I LOVED season one of this show and only felt like season 2 was decent. Season 2 carried out two storylines for most of it that I didn't find terribly interesting so that caused my delay on watching this current season. Season 3 is firing on all cylinders so far even though I'm only two episodes in. This has been my favorite animated series of the past few years outside of X-Men 97'. Invincible was originally a comic book series that was created by Robert Kirkman --- for anyone who isn't aware he is the same guy who created The Walking Dead.

This series is NOT the typical animated superhero show where the good guys "always win" and where characters never get hurt or die. It is 10000000% the exact opposite and has a significant amount of animated super hero and supervillain violence and gore.

DareDevil: Born Again-- Disney +

For me personally this has been my 2nd most anticipated television series for 2025. I was a HUGE fan of the Netflix version of DareDevil! The storytelling and the hardcore street level action grittiness wasn't expected and far exceed what I thought they were going to do. Obviously we all remember how much of a smash hit the show was from 2015 -- to 2018. I recall the online uproar and anger when it was announced that Netflix had cancelled the show. Why did Netflix cancel it?..Well due to Disney announcing that they were creating their own streaming platform TO COMPETE WITH NETFLIX and the licensing agreement that they paid for --for the Marvel branded characters was set to expire February 28th 2022. So they weren't going to keep paying $3.3 million dollars per episode produced for a show about characters that they did not own the intellectual property for. Hence this is why the first 3 seasons of DareDevil are on Disney plus now.

The original "Netflix" Marvel series, including Daredevil, were produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios (both Disney-owned). Netflix was essentially the distributor, paying for production rights in exchange for exclusive streaming rights.

I am only one episode into this new Disney season of Matt Murdock's latest adventure through the seedy underbelly of Hell's Kitchen but if the rest of the series has the emotional potency that the first 15 mins of episode one has--- then I KNOW DareDevil: Born Again will be a classic. I have heard about some of the character cameos and featured episodes that happen a little later on the show and I am ready to see what they do and where the storyline goes.
